ISCWN 2010 in Vienna, August 12-15

I know that i am a bit late, since this announcement has been made over a month ago. I wanted to put some thoughts about the event and just didn’t find the time in the past busy month to do so.

I have attended both international summits (in 2007 and 2008) so far and have to say that it is always refreshing to see the various different approaches communities take to build their networks. At the same time it helps in finding solutions to common problems (both technical and social) that communities encounter. I am especially proud to to see this event hosted in Vienna where i have been part for many years in the build-up of FunkFeuer.

I certainly recommend you to attend this event and hope to see you there.

“Wir sind das Netz” – FunkFeuer Movie released

Today Roland Jankowski a long-term comrade from the FunkFeuer community announced the release of their movie “Wir sind das Netz”. It is covering the FunkFeuer history and possible future. In my opinion it gives a very good round-up of what it is all about. Unfortunately it is only available in german (various dialects included ).

Today i stumbled over this interesting gadget. It’s a SD media card with integrated WiFi. It enables you to directly upload your photos to flickr, etc. even while the card is still inside the camera. Just like magic. Currently i’m not aware of any european distributor for it, but when it gets to our stores i’ll definitely get one.
